Published in conjunction with John Cage Memorial, a series of exhibitions and events held in Japan between October 1992 and January 1993. The catalogue brings together texts, biographical material, archival newspaper clippings and musical scores documenting Cage’s life and work. Designed with a restrained black-and-white cover, the publication reflects Cage’s enduring influence on experimental music and contemporary art.

An interesting document of the reception of Cage’s work in Japan, produced shortly after his death in August 1992.
